Your Role

As a manager in Region Halland, you have two assignments: to steer and lead with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the employer's representative and you represent Region Halland, which means that you have an understanding of the organization as a whole. You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession, with a mandate as a manager for four years.

We are looking for someone who will provide close leadership at our general psychiatric clinics in Laholm and Hylte, consisting of about 17 employees together. The role is designed as a part-time position of 75% management, where you lead, develop, and follow up on the operations. The remaining 25% you work clinically within your profession, which allows you to maintain patient-related competence and understanding of the everyday work.

You will engage and lead employees in working towards achieving the goals of the operations and developing adult psychiatric care. You are responsible for finances, personnel, and working environment.

You lead the operations so that employees' competence, engagement, and participation are developed and utilized. It is important that you contribute to a culture where continuous improvement work is a crucial and natural part of everyday work. You are part of the management group of the operations, where you actively contribute to the whole and the development of the area.

Both clinics have a stable staff group with high competence, and you will be offered introduction, guidance, and continuous support in your work. About Us as an Employer

The Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland's administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. The outpatient psychiatric care has the task of investigating and treating specialist psychiatric patients. The target group is individuals over 18 years with neuropsychiatric conditions, severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, suicidality, and complex dependency issues.

The outpatient care offers psychiatry close to the citizens and has clinics in every municipality. At the clinics, we work in interdisciplinary teams and often in collaboration with care neighbors. At the adult psychiatric clinics in Laholm and Hylte, there are general teams. Our subspecialties, such as psychosis and dependency, are located nearby in Halmstad.

The adult psychiatric clinics in Laholm and Hylte collaborate with various units of their respective municipalities, primary care, and the psychiatric inpatient care in Halmstad. We offer residents suffering from psychiatric illness good access to qualified diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation. At the adult psychiatric clinic in Laholm, about twelve employees work – doctors, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

At the adult psychiatric clinic in Hylte, five employees work, including nurses, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and a part-time chief physician via video link.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education with a core profession that occurs within psychiatric care. We prefer that you have experience working in psychiatric care. You should have a clear commitment to leadership issues, and previous managerial experience in healthcare is highly meritorious.

A prerequisite for succeeding and thriving as a department manager with us is that you are developmental, flexible, and have very good collaboration skills. You strive to be a role model, show personal care, and be able to inspire and motivate your employees.

You are structured, attentive, clear in your communication, present, and able to steer the operations according to set goals. Together with your employees and your managerial colleagues, you create a well-functioning care organization and a good working community. As a leader, you create participation and an engaged culture that allows employees to grow. You also have an interest in developing yourself as a manager. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As travel is involved in the work, a B driver's license is required.
